I am currently an Assistant Professor of English at Auburn University Montgomery, where I teach undergraduate and graduate composition courses. Research interests include material and cultural rhetorics as they are experienced in pop culture and pedagogical settings. My book Unplugging Popular Culture: Reconsidering Materiality, Analog Technology, and the Digital Native was published by Routledge’s Media, Culture, and Communications series and is available now.
I also research/write about professionalizing novice writing teachers and currently serve as Director for our new Master of Teaching Writing degree. My website for students is separate can be found here.
